| A STRICT NO KILL POLICY SMALL PET RESCUE & ADOPTION NON PROFIT VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION Laura Churchill Founder URGENT! URGENT! DUE TO AN UNUSUALLY ACTIVE HURRICANE SEASON 2004 - 2005 ADOPT A PET A.S.A.P. NEEDS YOUR IMMEDIATE SUPPORT TO KEEP OPERATING AND SAVE THE ANIMALS! HELP US REACH OUR SHELTER EXPANSION FUND GOAL $100,000 TOWARDS PURCHASE OF TRAILER FOR MOBIL SHELTER/CLINIC AND MATERIALS FOR THE ANIMAL HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE My Daughter Victoria and I on behalf of our public service as a non profit small animal pet rescue and adoption organization regrettably announce that we are presently filled to capacity with 80 orphans. At this time we can not except any more of the many animals we get requests to take in. The 2004 - 2005 hurricanes have rendered one third of our home as unusable. Up to now we have been barely managing using out of pocket resources in operating a shelter out of the remainder of our home. Additionally an emergency concerning an elderly Mom living out of State has added to our burden. She will require constant supervision. The extra financial burden, of providing food, litter, flea prevention and medical costs being thrust on us and the lack of room. We are presently faced with the possibility of having to scale back or discontinue and end our rescue efforts. The displaced animals who can benefit from our assistance and service, will no doubt be in jeopardy and many may be needlessly euthanized. Time is running out and we have to relocate immediately. Having the resolve to continue with our dedication on the animals behalf, we now turn to the caring public for your generosity and support. Since 2004 our plans to move our rescue facility to a new location to better handle a larger capacity have been put on hold but now we must make an immediate decision. Our goal is to offer a more suitable infrastructure that will withstand inclimate weather and to better facilitate our animal rescue and adoption services. These include improved housing structure and the implementation of a five/ten acre sanctuary for those animals that may need a permanent residency. Another feature that will be added is an out-reach program network to better serve the public. We can manage the move and purchase the land acquisition at our own expense but not the rescue infrastructure and transport of moving the animals financially, which is very much needed to adequately house and care for the animals. We would be remiss in our obligation if we abandoned over six years of our animal concern commitment, out of which three years of our service we have provided as a pet rescue operation. With that thought we ask you to help us achieve our goals. Your considerations will not only save an animal but make possible the enjoyment and love a companion animal can provide in a caring environment.
