Short Track at Torino

The 2006 short track event will be held at "Pavavela," which was built in 1961 for the centennial of the Italian Unity.  It has been redesigned to not only be the short track venue, but also the figure skating arena. In less than 4 years, it will become the center of the rapid and spectacular short track speedskating event.  More falling, more elminations, more advancements, more DQs, and more Apolo Anton Ohno.  If things go well from now until the Torino olympics, you can be sure Apolo will be there to defend his gold medal.  Not only that, he might come away from the 2006 games with up to four more of those medals around his neck. Salt Lake wasn't the last time you'll hear from this short track 'golden boy.'
