What is in a Book of Shadows you ask, I am here to tell you ... A Book of Shadows is a Witch’s personal account of their journey and experiences with the Craft. It can be hand made, typed on the computer and saved on a disk, or printed and presented in a chosen format, it can be a hardbound book, exercise book, spiral bound notebook, display folder or even a binder with loose-leaf paper. The choice is completely up to the Witch as an individual. A Witch’s Book of Shadows should be kept out of sight, and read only by them, unless it is a coven Book of Shadows. The more knowledge you put into it, the more powerful it grows. A Book of Shadows should be blessed, preferably by a blessing written by you, but if you don’t have a knack with words then a blessing you have found that appeals to you will suffice. A Book of Shadows may include any or all of the following, and anything else you feel should be put in there, - Spells
- Correspondences - colours, crystals, herbs, essential oils, numbers, etc.
- Deity information
- Divination information - Runes, Tarot, Scrying etc.
- Information about magickal tools and symbols
- Rituals
- Rites
- Meditation and Visualization information
- Astrology information,
- Prayers, poems, lyrics, artwork
- Dreams and their meanings
- Personal experiences with each...
