1. http://www.netscape.net/ This is a good all around search engine. If you don't download their whole site and just use the search engine. The Netscape full download can be pretty complicated.

2. http://www.lycos.com/ You will be able to use this for searches and it is a pretty fair search engine.

3. http://www.google.com/ This is probably the best search engine on the block now. But as with all, you can find more by doing searches with several search engines.

4. http://www.alltheweb.com/ Excellent. Clear and uncluttered.

5. http://www.askjeeves.com/ The little butler who knows all the answers.

6. http://www.yahoo.com/ Has excellent directories and now using Google search engine.

7. http://hotbot.lycos.com/ Has good directories and search engine.

8. http://www.about.com/ Good sites vetted by humans.

9. http://www.excite.com/ Good directories and search engine.

10. http://www.northernlight.com/ Good powersearch.

11. http://www.completeplanet.com/ Lots of topics to choose from.

12. http://www.altavista.com/ Directories and search engine.

13. http://www.looksmart.com/ Great all around search engine.

14. http://www.galaxy.com/ Business, science, humanities, health--you name it and you will fine it here.

15. http://www.mysimon.com/ Brouse, buy....where to get it...search.

16. http://AsSeenonTV.com/ These things you see advertised on TV you will be able to find here.

18. http://www.goodsearch.com/   You can help your favorite charity here. Just search here and they will donate to your charity.
