Tyler Hoechlin
Newcomer in Road to Perdition is making quite a buzz in Hollywood. With such an acting skill Road to Perdition it is hard to believe this was the HOTTIE's first movie.
How did the 14 year old hottie get the role of Tom Hank's son?
Well, his brother helped. Or at least Tyler thinks. His brother is also in the business and was the one that got the call for the job. They told the guys holding autitions that Tanner (his bro) had a older brother . So Tanner brought Tyler along. They called the next day, and said they wanted to see Tyler the following day. How did his brother take it? He went in the other room, closed the door, and starting punching the couch and pillows. "We're in therapy right now," Tyler joked on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. "But no, everythings ok."
Tyler Hoechlin was an unkown 13 year old actor from Corona California when he was chosen from among more than 2000 young actors across the country for the coveted role of Tom Hank's son in Road To Perdition. Hoechlin began studying acting in early 1997 at the age of nine. He was trained at the Young Actors Space, The Krys Kyer Workshop, the Beverly Hills Acting Studio and with Warner Loughlin. He landed his first film role in Family Tree wich was screened at the 199 Cannes Film Festival. In 2001 he starred in the independent film Train Quest, which was shot in Romania. In addition to his acting, Hoechlin is a stand out baseball talent. He began playing at the age of seven and represented his country as a member of the US team in the Pan American games when he was only nine. He currently plays shortstop for the Corona Wolverines. Tyler is now starring of the WB's 7th Heaven as basically the newest kid to be phsyically-adopted by the Camdens. He is now 16 and hotter than ever. Teen magazine "YM" said this in their special profile on Tyler:
Quote 'In Road to Perdition, Tyler was a cute round-faced kid. But now at 16 he is....uh....hot!" Un-Quote
And um...they're right. Tyler plas baseball, every infield position except for 1st (which is MY position when not pitching) and had this to say in YM, " I had a friend that's brother is a scout for the Boston White Sox and they've been looking at me as a prospeced. So I've playing in tournaments with their scout team."
