We exist on this site to discuss Christian Biblical Errancy. Apologists are welcome, insofar as they address issues of biblical errancy or inerrancy. This includes, but is not strictly limited to the following: apparent biblical contradictions, inaccuracies dealing with established facts outside the pages of the Bible, and logical fallacies. Other issues of a biblical nature may be discussed, but such discussions should be secondary to issues dealing with errancy and inerrancy, and should be limited in number and scope.
 
Posting format : (VERY IMPORTANT) Type your name (or abbreviation of name or nickname) and colon, followed by message. Please give the full text of the Bible verse that you reference for the convenience of the readers. If you use a version besides the KJV, it is considered polite and helpful to indicate the version used in parentheses, e.g., (RSV, Tanakh, NIV, NRSV). EXAMPLE  (Loren is talking to Soth):

We chose this format so that we will all be able to follow what is being said by whom. Let's get in the habit of using it always. We will nag you if you don't. We also encourage referring the reader back to the number of a previous post on the thread should this be necessary.
 
Posts must include something approximating reasoning, facts, evidence, intelligent
speculation, logic, and not just Bible verses without comment. Sermonizing or preaching is forbidden (that is, lots of blather and naked opinions with no reasoning, facts, evidence, reputable citations, etc.) A third or fourth offense is grounds for dismissal.

NO CONTRIBUTION WITHOUT ATTRIBUTION. If something you post is from someone else, or from somewhere else, give us a URL, a link, the name of the publication, or a by-line. Identify your quotes. Don't make it appear that you wrote something yourself if someone else wrote it.
 
We are here to debate scripture, so we expect to SEE some scripture.
 
Do not bother to point out typos unless you need to clarify the meaning of a post. This also applies to misspellings and grammatical solecisms.
 
Try very hard to stick to the subject of the discussion thread. If a new debating point arises, start a new discussion thread.
 
Try not to start a new discussion thread on a topic already being discussed. It's not easy, but try anyway. 
 
Do not post from your e-mail. Go directly to the site.
 
Arguments about the existence of God or gods is discouraged, though some will be tolerated.  Such arguments cannot be proven or disproven. Arguments about evolutionism vs. creationism are discouraged, but if you must, keep them confined to one thread. Discussion about other religions is acceptable if some relationship to the Bible can be shown. Ditto politics, the cinema, et cetera. This site is supposed to be about the Bible.
 
Arguments about abortion are discouraged unless verses are cited.
 
If you are new to the group, you are welcome, and encouraged, to tell us something about yourself and even post some photos.
 
Please be patient with all new members. Give them a chance to get up to speed.
 
DELETIONS ARE RARE, but the Managers WILL DELETE for the following reasons :
 
MSN will close down sites that breach their guidelines. Any post that could cause MSN to shut down this site may be deleted at the manager’s discretion.
 
No ad hominems (personal attacks) are allowed. We are here to discuss ideas, not to berate or belittle people. No uninterrupted SHOUTING or mindless rants are allowed, although a little will be tolerated, as humans can't seem to avoid it.
 
Excessive profanity will not be tolerated. We are not prudes, but let’s be reasonable, mature, and show a little respect for our fellow posters.
 
We are not here to talk about the occult, pyramidology, astrology, tarot cards, crop circles, numerology, the Illuminati, the writings of Edgar Cayce, spiritualism, or UFOs. There are plenty of other places to take these sorts of discussions. References to preterism are discouraged.

This site is about the Bible. KJV is fine, but other versions are acceptable.

Don’t cut and paste large blocks of text from other web sites. Just paste a link.
 
Spammers, plagiarists, and impersonators will be banned. Give some indication of your sources to show they are not original with you and don't try to sneak into the group under another name if you have been banned. If you sneak past us, my black-sheep-of-the-family brother Vinnie the Lip will visit you and cut off both your thumbs. Contact the managers and ask for permission to rejoin the group.
 
If you have concerns regarding the management, such as complaints, suggestions, etc., please use the member's tool to e-mail the manager(s).

Inactive members (i.e., those who don't post for a few months), may have their memberships deleted at the discretion of the managers. If you are one of these people, don't panic. If you wish to return just to read the posts, you may reapply for membership.  Those of you who want to learn something are always welcome. There is much to be learned here at CBED.
