Copy all pages of Information before starting your weekly Pc tune up.

  To be done offline only.
 

   Cable/DSL users:
  Shut down computer and unplug cable line from your tower then start up again..

   To reconnect cable/DSL:
  Shut down computer plug cable line back in tower then start up again.

   Make Sure you turn off your Screen Saver before starting this

   Disableing Screensaver:
   Right click on Desktop anywhere where there no Icon's and click Properties on top click Screensaver right below the big monitor where it saids screensaver (Long white Box ) set it to None then click Apply then Ok.

Step 1. Disk clean up

  If you do not do this in safemode you have to disable your Antivirus program... before starting..

How to go to safemode.

  Restart computer and keep hitting F8 throw the restart till you see a menu select option 3 (safe Mode) hit Enter there will be another box poping up just click Ok on it and your in safe mode.

  Another way to get into safemode is Restart. As soon as you see something on the screen press and hold CTRL down.

 Also tapping F5 or F8 while Restarting computer will get you in safemode as well.

Should be done at least every 2 to 3 weeks

Step 1. System file checker - 95/98/98se
Step 2. Scandisk - 95/98/98se/ME
Step 3. Disk defragmenter - 98/98se/ME
