| Chances are you havent been subject to many public inquiries about your sex life. Most people consider casual questions about sex inappropriate. But if you are a woman in her thirties or early forties, you may have been asked a question that is, in many ways, even more personal. "So, when are you going to get with the program and have some kids?" If you have been asked this, youre not alone. Questions about parenting plans are fairly common. And what could be more natural? Eighty percent of Americans today become parents. So maybe its understandable to assume that most childless women are in some state of preparation for child rearing. But for women who are not planning to have children, are not able, or are perhaps still undecided about motherhood, this assumption can make it difficult to think clearly about what it might mean to never be a mom.
