Down to Earth Cottages is a fully furnished accommodation in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We offer 2 cottages uniquely crafted with stain glass windows. Creekside cottage has one bedroom, kitchen, one bath, wireless internet, cable television, DVD, phone, grill, and outdoor fireplace. The Bungalow, located downstairs Creekside, has one queen-size bed, kitchen, one bath,cable TV/DVD, and wireless internet. The Chalet has a loft bedroom with a queen-size bed. There is also one queen-size futon downstairs, one bath, kitchen, cable TV, DVD, phone, grill, and outdoor fireplace. The cottages are located 5.5 miles from downtown Brevard, and 15 minutes from the Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Park (fishing, waterfalls and hiking, mountain biking trails). We are 25 minutes from the Asheville Airport. Each cottage overlooks a mountain stream and is surrounded by vegetable, herb, and flower gardens. Fresh cut flowers decorate each room of the cottages, and guests are welcome to harvest vegetables in season. The French Broad River runs adjacent to the cottages. We have kayaks and canoes for guests to view migrating birds and native flowers. Guests are encouraged to reserve boats at time of reservation. There are also many fish, including Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Musky, Bluegill, Rock Bass, and Smallmouth Bass in the French Broad, so bring your fishing pole! The Chalet rents for $110 a night and $655 a week. Creekside Cottage rents for $115 a night and $690 a week. The Bunaglow is an additional $75 a night or can be rented seperately. Discount rates apply when rented together. We offer special winter rates as well as discounts for bringing your own linens.Join us for a down to earth mountain retreat. Explore the surrounding waters: fish, kayak or canoe. Walk through the gardens or swing from a sky chair. Immerse your self in nature. Come and rest awhile!
