Saint Seiya deals with Greek, European and Asian mythology, it teaches the viewer about friendship and the ability to achieve any goal that may seem unreachable. Saint Seiya is a story about warriors called 'Saints', whose task is to protect Athena, the Goddess of peace, and to fight against evil forces. There are also evil Saints in the story Saint Seiya brings the subject "friendship" and "holding together" in an amazing way to you. The show also demonstrates that the "bad guys" can have their good sides and that they don’t need to be only mad, dump and ugly. The enemies are fighting for an ideal they believe in, they have a reason to be which also makes them interesting. The story has five main characters Seiya the Pegasus Saint, Shiryu the Dragon Saint, Shun the Andromeda Saint, Hyoga the Cygnus Saint and Ikki the Phoenix Saint.
