Showman's Engines


Fowler Superlion "The Lion", Built In March 1932,  Owned & Restored by Arthur Thompson.  The Finest Showman's Engine In Preservation.

 


Fowler Superlion "Supreme",  Restored by Jack Wharton, Owned by John Wharton.  This Was The Finest Showman's Engine In Preservation 30 Years Ago.


Fowler Superlion "King Carnival II", sold new to F. McConville of West Hartlepool in 1932.  The Cavanagh family purchased the engine in 2001.


Burrell Showman's Scenic "No 1", Built 1920, supplied new to Pat Collins.  Now owned by Terry & Val Maynard.  


The Oldest Fowler Showman's "Lady Betty", Built In April 1902,  A Beautiful Engine In A Big And Dirty Kind Of Way.

  


Burrell "King George VI", Restored by Jack Wharton, Owned by John Wharton.  This Was The First Showman's To Enter Preservation.  It Also Lead The Funeral Of The Late John Carter (see picture, page 42 of Brian Steptoe's excellent book 'Vintage Funfairs').

 


Pat Collins Fowler "Dreadnought", Built In May 1916,  Now ex Pat Collins "Valiant".  Maintained And Driven by Peter Freeman.
