LAKE PARK STREAMLINER
1947-19__
Notes: Operated until 1959 at the earliest. This train circled Lagoon Lake such as the Wild Kingdom Train does now. A member of the website, Sid, says it was "a 24" Diesel Park Train modeled after a Union Pacific F-3". He added that "the most likely manufacturer of such a park train would be National Amusement Device. They built many of these types of park trains."
LAKESHORE EXPRESS
1951-19__
Notes: This is probably the same train as the Streamliner, but with a different name. 1951 is either the year the name changed or a different train ran on the track. In 1954 either another engine was added or the old one replaced or under rehab.
MOTHER GOOSE LAND TRAIN
19__-19__
Notes: That's not the actual name. There was a kiddie train which ran on a small oval track in Mother Goose Land. I know it was there in the 1970s and I know it was removed before 1988 (probably the early 80s).
PICNIC TRAIN
1966-19__
Originally Built: 1925
Manufactured By: Bamberger Railroad Shop
Location: North Midway
Notes: This train took guests from the midway to the picnic terraces. It was on display where Tidal Wave is now for many years. It was put into storage (probably around the time that area became the loading dock for the Paddle Boats). It was completely rebuilt in 1974 and came back in 1975 as the Lagoon Miniature Railroad (aka Bamberger Railroad) in Pioneer Village.
ANIMAL LAND TRAIN
1967-19__
Location: South Midway
Notes: Little is known about this train except the fact that it went past the animal cages. It either circled Lake Lagoon or on the tracks that would later be used for the Pioneer Village Railroad. It's very possible this is what is now the Wild Kingdom Train
PIONEER VILLAGE RAILROAD (OLD IRONSIDES)
1972?-19__
Notes: This train was stationed at the south end of Main Street in Pioneer Village where the Railroad Museum is now. Merriweather from Wild Kingdom was supposedly once a part of this railroad. Read more...
LAGOON MINIATURE RAILROAD (BAMBERGER RAILROAD)
1975-1986
Originally Built: 1925
Manufactured By: Bamberger Railroad Shop
Notes: This is the former Picnic Train. After being on display for some time, then put in storage it was rebuilt in 1974 and became the Lagoon Miniature R.R. in 1975. It was nicknamed the Bamberger Railroad because of the manufacturer. It traveled around the north end of the original Pioneer Village boundaries. This train was for younger children. Read more...
