RIDE EXPERIENCE
Riders are taken down a paved path that leads behind the Telephone Museum & Model Train Museum, through some animal pens and behind Rattlesnake Rapids where you turn around and go back. It can get pretty crowded in the Stagecoach and it's a tight fit, but it's still enjoyable. The boarding area is at the south end of Pioneer Village, in front of the stable west of the Telephone Museum.
RIDE HISTORY & INFO
This ride is operated by the Thurston Family from Morgan, Utah, who owns the clydesdales. Usually, the Stagecoach only runs on busier days (such as Saturdays and holidays). It's possible that the Thurstons have run it all along, but I'm not sure. In 1997, when Rattlesnake Rapids was completed, the pathway was changed to its current layout. Before that, it used to make a loop about where the body of water at the south end of the Rattlesnake Rapids is. The Stagecoach that was used looked a lot more like a stagecoach (as seen in the photo below). The boarding area was in front of the Pony Express Museum which is now an empty building south of the restrooms. I haven't found any information about what happened to the first Stagecoach.
