RIDE EXPERIENCE
This track-guided car ride starts at the small Amoco station and continues around a little pond, crosses two bridges over a stream and returns to the station.
RIDE HISTORY & INFO
There was a different kiddie car ride built here in the 1950s or 60s. The most official name for the older ride I've found is Auto Kiddies. Sometime in the 70s or 80s it was changed. The cars originally traveled clockwise, but now they go the opposite direction. Hopefully they keep this one around for awhile. Especially since Speedway, Sr. is gone. In 2004, when Dragonfly & Kontiki opened on the north of this ride, the track & landscape changed drastically. The new changes include 2 bridges and an island with a small house on it. Many of the large trees & plants were removed on that side. It's even possible that the small pond in the center was all that was left of the northern half of Lagoon Lake from when it was twice as big as it is now. However, that cannot be confirmed at this time.
