1970-198_
Location: Rodeo Grounds/Race Track (north of park boundary)

HISTORY & INFO
The Rodeo Grounds were located in the large area north of the park where the employee parking is now. This is also where the Race Track was built in 1911.
In the 1970s, the boundary between the park and the Rodeo Grounds was about where the Sky Ride's north station is. In the 1980s, the park expanded farther north and more rides were installed such as the Flying Carpet and the Flying Aces. It was probably around this time when there were no longer any rodeos since the park kept growing into that area. A large concrete grandstand was built in 1970 or later which was torn down in October 1998 in preparation for the Double Thunder Raceway.
Originally, there was a rodeo at Lagoon every Saturday. I think this only happened in the fall later on, but I don't know much about it.
