I can't believe it, I'm Silver. This is one thing that I always dreamed about for years and now here I am after 25 years...Nicotine free. I havnt had access to my computer for awhile but now im back I am now a proud member of the silver club.  It took me many times to perfect my quit  i used this site quit aid free and chewed alot of gum.It wasnt any worse quiting w/o an aid as it was with & the toxins left my body alot quicker which helped me have alot less withdrawls  and they were not as intense.  Id like to take this oppertunity to thank you all for your help and support . A special thanks to  joel who has taken his time and energy to have this site and to help us all.I have missed this site & am glad to be back to celebrate my  6 months  .So im gonna hop on the silver bus and take a ride to my 6 month  party    + faithhopelove |

I do not how to express my acivement but i feel very happy. Now no more slave of anything. Actually the feeling that i can not leave withou nicotine made me to quit. Then i read daily the mails from freedom. There i found a article by the GREAT MR JOEL that one should careful about replacing crutches. I leanred to remain away from freedom mails. But for first few days I used to remember all those important things in my mind. Now the craves donot trouble me. I am and my people around me have accepted that ihave quit. My dear freedom I can never forget the education about to quit and to remain quit.Mohan - Free and Healing for6 M, 6 D and 23 H (189 days).

I just hit Silver a couple of days ago. Eight months ago I found out that I hademphysema and 60% of my lungs were gone I didn’t have a choice. I had to quit smoking. I had wanted to quit for a long time but I couldn’t do it until I found Why Quit.com. That’s what did it for me. Now if emphysema wasn’t enough to deal with; in November I found out that I had skin cancer on the back of my right hand, my back, both legs and 98% of my face. This was all due to years of sun worship. I’ve had surgery several times and I’m almost cancer free now. You’d think that emphysema and skin cancer would be stress enough but 2 weeks ago my Dad passed ay. He’s in a better place and he’s free of pain now but I’m going to miss him every day of my life. I have had to dig my heels in and fight the urge to have that one cigarette every day for the last couple of weeks but I made it….one day at a time. Good luck to us all!

Even after all of this time, some days are easier than others. When faced with extremely stressful situations, I still think about smoking. Fortunately, I am able to remind myself of my quit reasons and overcome the momentary urge to light up.
