As most of you know, the game of Duel Monsters originated in Ancient Egypt. Also, the Millennium Items and the Yamis are from this period as well. So... Yu-Gi-Oh Shadow Realm presents... our Ancient Egypt Exhibit: Yu-Gi-Oh Style! *** Be warned of a little insanity and making fun of characters... I only made a few sarcastic remarks... heh...
Welcome to the tour of our Ancient Egypt Exhibit. This is the first thing on our tour... one of the Pharaoh's Memory Tablets... It depicts an ancient battle between good and evil, the Pharaoh versus a treacherous High Mage. The monsters they're using are above them are the two arch rivals, the Blue Eyes White Dragon and the Dark Magician (aka the Black Magician). If Isis were here, she could tell you more, and since I can't read heiroglyphics... that's about as much as I can tell you.
Next we have the 3 Egyptian God cards... which power hungry and insane people, like Malik, are after. With these three unbeatable cards and the power of the Millennium Puzzle, a person could take the Pharaoh's ancient power and rule the world. The blue big guy is Obelisk the Tormenter (aka The God of Obelisk), the cool looking red dragon is Slifer the Sky Dragon (aka Saint Dragon - God of Osiris) and the gold griffony dragon is the Winged Dragon of Ra (aka God of the Divine Dragon - Ra). Each of these has their own special power, and most magic cards do not work on them. Obelisk has 4000 attack points and if you sacrfice two monsters to it, it destroys all of your opponents monsters on the field as well as dealing 4000 points of direct damage... Slifer gains 1000 attack and defense points for each card in your hand and attacks any monsters summoned and deducts 2000 points from whatever mode it's in. We are still unsure of the powers that Ra has, but we do know that you must be able to read the inscriptions on the card to be able to summon it... Each of these cards are based on monsters that once caused chaos and destruction throughout Egypt, until they were imprisoned. Mr. Pegasus re-created them in their current card form, not knowing the power that they had. He hid them away, fearing this power, but they have been discovered and now have new owners...
So... now we have the Millennium Items... These items were created to seal away the dark powers that threatened the world. There are seven in total each with it's own power. . Many people who get one of these items, want to get them all. The items are protected by Shadi, and his anscestors. Some of these items like the Puzzle and the Ring have spirits inside them, called Yamis. The spirit within the puzzle is that of the Pharaoh,
Next we have an image of the ancient Pharaoh, who saved the world from darkness! This is one of my personal favourites, for many reasons... This is the Pharaoh who was depicted on the tablet earlier in the tour. He was also known as the King of Games because is amazing talent at all games. He can win at all games, but his particular favourite seemed to be this ancient form of what we know today as duel monsters. Of course, when the game was played in Ancient Egypt, they used real monsters and the stakes were much higher. The Pharaoh was also the holder of the Millennium Puzzle. This is the same Millennium Item that his soul was later trapped within. So... does anyone have
This... is Seto the High Mage/Preist person who was depicted fighting the wonderful Pharaoh... I must admit I hold a bit of a grudge for that... He fought the Pharaoh's guards and finally managed to summon his ultimate monster the Blue Eyes White Dragon. Seto had a bit of an attitude and also was very good at Duel monsters. and he probably has a little brother some where who he kinda obsesses over... okay.
Here we have one of the Pharaoh's friends, Joey. Joey thought he was a really good duelist, but he over estimated his skills a bit, and often relied on his friends to get him out of trouble... especially with a certain high mage... Anyways, there is not a whole lot of information on Jono. I'm afraid to ask This is Tea. She is another of the Pharaoh's friends. She sometimes duels and was often worried about her friends and could be a little sarcastic at times.
* This is Simon Muran... he was the Pharaoh's little advisor guy! He is kind of annoying and has very powerful magic. He knows many of the lost secrets of the original Duel monsters. He is also the one who convinced the Pharaoh to smash the Millennium Puzzle... which trapped his spirit inside it!
