ABOUT US
Jill Marie Fernando has been involved in the sport of dogs for the last 16 years, beginning with her first OBEDIENCE partner STORM, DRUM HILL'S STORM CARL ROTTNSIPSKY UD , who was ranked in the Top Ten for several years, and competed in the Cycle Eastern Regional Obedience Championships. Her second obedience and conformation partner NIMBO, SG DRUM HILL'S DARK NIMBOSTRATUS CDX WAT, is retired now to heaven but watches over his mom eternally, along with Storm! She is active in the Conformation ring, and Obedience competition, as well as volunteers at nursing homes, with her Canine Therapist partner DRIZZLE; U-CDX Ch. JAROO'S PATCHY FOG N DRIZZLE UD TDI ; a blue Australian Cattle Dog, who place at the All Star Dog Obedience Championships in 2005, as well as training and showing her newest canine partner U-CD Bryn Mawr's Warning Light CD TDI; a red Australian Cattle Dog and the newest pup; Hemlock's Indian Summer Rain. Jill's basic and puppy class focus on teaching the puppy's people how to be a pack leader and deal with the new puppy using dog psychology rather then human psychology! Leadership and exercise are the keys to a happy, well balanced dog!
Jill specializes in Aggression, Fear, Phobias, and has worked with many different breeds of dogs with great success. She has also helped newly adopted shelter dogs acclimate well into their new homes.
Jill is also involved in Alpaca care, has helped with a Cria this Summer, as well as can care for horses, and other farm animals. Hobby Kennels are in especially good hands with the knowledge Jill has through working as a veterinary tech and kennel manager. There is a sense of peace with the care she offers, and has many references. Ask us for our references, please!
