How to post a message on the board:

When you enter the Group

Go to the pale blue Navigation Bar to the left

Click on Messages>Click on General>

Click on New Discussion when the page comes up if you wish to start a new subject. The page will have a window to type the subject in and then you'll take the cursor down to the blank page … immediately above the page you'll see 'Font..size or 'A' which is for colour if you want it, type your message and scroll down to "Send", click on that, or look under the "Subject ' column and click on any subject you'd like to respond to, Click on Reply, a blank page will come up

And you can begin to type your reply, then click 'Send"

Later you can experiment if there are other things you wish to add, like Emoticons. Thats the little yellow face at the top of the page . with the fonts etc. Click on it and you have these cute little pics. If you click on one of them it will go where you have your cursor, so if you want it at the end make sure that's where your cursor is.

TO ADD PICTURE ANIMATION ETC. TO YOUR POST ON MESSAGE BOARD:

Click on the small yellow picture box at the top of your reply page ( it looks like a mountain with the sun on the right.) a page will come up- then click on 'My Computer' to get your list of pictures etc. When you've chosen the picture you want click on 'ADD PHOTO'. It will take a few moments before adding your picture to your post.

To collect try 'clipart.com' … or snag ( steal) any you see on the web that isn't copyrighted or which you've requested permission to snag. Have fun !

Adding photos/pictures to your album

Go to' Pictures' on the sidebar and create your album, or the managers will do that for you if you wish...this is simple.... then follow the instructions below:

On the groups page click on 'Pictures' on the sidebar
 
Find your album
 
Click on 'Add Photos'
 
You'll probably get 'Install MSN Upload Control'...follow instructions and click 'Install'.
 
Up will come your "My Documents', Click on the folder you have your pictures in ( make seperate folders for your family pics or whatever catagories you want your particular pictures in. If you leave them all in "My Pictures' you soon have so many it takes forever to find them. )
 
Your pictures will all show , so then you check (tick) those you want to upload to your album...then go to the top and click on 'upload',  and presto...they'll all show in your album.
 
To post them in the group you do the same as when you post your tags. Your album will show , click on it . You can add all your tags too and can use them over and over and not use any more storage space.
 
I hope this is fairly clear.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW FOLDER AND ADDING GIFS TO EMAIL, POSTS ETC.

NEW FOLDER::

Go to 'My Documents'

Right click anywhere

Menu drops down

Left click on NEW

Left click on FOLDER

New folder appears

Type name for folder ie. ' My Pictures' or whatever you wish to call it.

SAVE PICTURES , GIFS ETC.:

Right click on a picture or graphic you like,

Menu drops down,

Left click on 'Save as picture'

Window comes up - left click on 'Save'

TO INSERT YOUR PICTURE,GRAPHICS ON EMAIL

Click on 'New Mail' and type your address etc.(maximize your message window ) then move down to your message window. Just above it and right at the end you should see a tiny yellow box with a wee mountain in it... it turns yellow when you place the cursor on it.

. Click on that and a window will open called 'Pictures' , click on 'Browse'  and find  ' My Documents ' , look down and find the folder you created , ( My Pictures or whatever ) double click on it , look down again and find the file ( picture ) you want and click on it...that will highlight it then click on 'Open '.and when another window opens click on ' OK'. This will insert your picture.

. Just print it off and read at your leisure.

How to stop all posts going to your inbox and to hide your email address:

To make sure no one can get your email addy unclick E-mail  Allow other group members to see my e-mail address.
