| Finduilas is what Tolkien called Arwen in his first draft of lotr. He later changed her to be 'Arwen'. Name: Arwen Undomiel (or Evenstar to the modern tongue)
Date of Birth: Year 241
Marries King Aragorn, and becomes Queen Arwen on Midsummer Night's Eve
::Family:: Daughter of Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrian. Granddaughter of Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn of Lothlorien. Linage traced back to Luthien Tinuviel. ::Story of Arwen:: Arwen has the likeness of her ancestor, Luthien Tinuviel. Men who have laid their eyes on her have thought they strayed into a dream, thinking they saw the beautiful Luthien. Arwen stole the heart of Aragorn, son of Arathorn, a lost king of the land of Gondor. It was not common for elf-kind to wed a mortal man and Lord Elrond at first went against their wishes. After the War of the Ring however, Aragorn claimed his rightful title and Lord Elrond's trust. Lady Arwen Undomiel married King Aragorn of Gondor on Midsummer's Day. When it was time for Arwen's kin to depart to Valinor, Elrond and Arwen's last meeting was full of grief and sadness. But like her ancestor Luthien, Arwen chose the same haunting path, a mortal life to be with the man she loved. After many blissful years together, it came for Aragorn's time to pass. Arwen was filled with grief and after saying farewell to her sons and daughters, she went back to the empty land of Lothlorien where Galadriel was no longer there. There, she dwelt until the Winter. She lay herself upon Cerin Amroth, where she and Aragorn once exchanged vows of love to each other; and so passed Arwen Undomiel, Evenstar of her people. "If you trust nothing else, trust this, trust us." The name Arwen means "noble maiden" in elvish Arwen's Sword is called Hadhafang!
