1 The Mainstream Underground was initially created by FredTheHead in August of 2002.  The idea was to create a graphics oriented, psychedelic website, free of drama, where people could chill and enjoy a great collection of pics, gifs, art, links, rock-n-roll, comedy and people with simular interest.  3QTGALSinVA came right on board as co-designer and co-manager.  Soon after that, PCBGirl...aka Karen showed up on the scene. She had such style, and grace, we quickly ask her if she would manage the site with us.  Lucky for us, she said yes. With the help of Karen, her friend Sue, and this cat called HermitWithABuzz out of Canada, the party was on.  A lot of cool people were hangin' out, and passing thru.   Life was good. The Underground continued to grow, sometimes rapidly, in content, memberships and activity.  Many people, in MSN Group circles, have been regulars here at one time or another.  At the risk of forgetting someone important, I won't bother to start listing names.  But we were almost 1100 members strong.  Suddenly, the Underground was mysteriously deleted in May of 2004.  Then deleted again in June of 2004.  So, this site, MU3 we'll call it, was restarted in July of 2004.  The Managers at this group reside in Virginia, Florida, Washington State and Ontario. In 2006 MSN dropped their adult rated groups.  So we would not get axed again a lot of material had to be removed.  We were never a porn site, but we did have a lot of riskee material to include fantasy art, smut cartoons, tasteless humor and the like.  Unfortunely we had to delete all this content. Mainstream Underground, and MSN Groups in general, have experienced a substantial slow down in new memberships and activity the past couple of years with the advent of many other social networks such as My Space, Facebook, You Tube and Tag World which offer greater freedom and multimedia capability.  We still continue to have a pulse while many other groups have completely flatlined. In early 2007 FredThaHead, the creator of the Underground, made a trip up to Ontario to meet MiniSpice as they had become rather fond of each other over time.  The rendezvous went very well.  They both have made several subsequent visits to each other's respective countries.  The relationship has continued to grow and Fred will soon be relocating to Ontario in the not to distant future. What makes a good Website you might ask?  I'm not sure.  But I'd say a uniting theme, cool graphics, and good people.  But by far, the people are the most important,  Without them, the content is meaningless.   So what's my point here?  Oh yeah, YOU, THE PEOPLE...ROCK!!!  I thank all members, past, present and future, for their support.  Now get your asses to the MESSAGE BOARD! 1 ROCK-N-ROLL NEVER FORGETS, WE'LL BE HERE!!!   Well she's walking through the clouds With a circus mind that's running round Butterflies and zebras And moonbeams and fairy tales That's all she ever thinks about Riding with the wind.
