7. Program tips:
a. Program can be as creative as you choose – live performance, video or PowerPoint presentation, dancers, props - whatever you feel comfortable with as a Program Developer. Make sure you have all the necessary tools and equipment.
b. Determine your performing artists. Confirm dates, time and location with your performing artist(s).
c. Select your JJ presenter - you can do it or you can ask someone else to be your emcee.
d. Create fliers promoting the event or ask MOJO member to assist you. MOJO PR Guru, Kevin Lee (MobileJazz@bellsouth.net) sends out e-mails to members and creates/distributes press releases to local media. Fliers must include the line: MOJO is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization and proud member of the Mobile Arts Council and American Federation of Jazz Societies. Print at least 100 fliers.
e. Same assistance (see d.) is available for creating a REQUIRED PRINTED program for the night of your JJ. Printed program must include MOJO, Mobile Arts Council and American Federation of Jazz Societies logos. Print at least 75.
f. Script tips: type in CAPTIAL LETTERS and double spaced.
g. Day-of-JJ: Make a checklist of all of the “tools” you will need (CDs, lights, programs, props, etc.) and plan to have a good time.
