CreaText, the Free HTML Editor by Marius Soutier, is the easiest to learn, least expensive, (free!) and I think, the best solution to the problem of not having a built-in set of tools for Macintosh users here in the MSN Groups.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to "dress up" your messages with different font sizes, colors and styles, make colored and patterned image backgrounds, and insert images into your messages. You will also learn how to create your own web pages. This will enable you to set up and manage your own group here at MSN, if you wish. Heck, you can even learn enough about HTML, and this easy editor, to create and manage your own website, if you choose!

The first thing you will need to for this tutorial is a copy of CreaText. Please go here and download the latest version. For system 8 and 9, you will need the CreaText Classic version. (Based on 1.5.2 and won't be updated anymore.) For OSX, you will need version 1.5pr3 and the English patch.

Then, begin with lesson one, take your time and go through all of the lessons, one by one, and be sure you understand and have practiced each lesson before going on to the next one. You will be amazed at how CreaText can empower you to create your own messages and web pages, just the way you want them to look!
