Ethics Within the Craft

*"Do as thou wilt an ye harm none"

*The High Priestess and/or the High Priest always have the final say in a coven and it is usually the High Priestess. Many covens operate by consensus but in a  time of crisis one person must be able to decide.

*If you are officially studying or working with a teacher or a coven you must be released before seeking another teacher or group. This is not normally a problem but it will definitely become one if you don't follow the correct procedures.

*All issues within a coven should be handled within that coven. If unable to resolve any problem most groups have Elders within their tradition to call upon. Coven business stays coven business. The only time coven business becomes anyone else's business is when a group is working "outside" the Law and doing harm and even then it must be a provable offense.

*In individual cases if a breach of ethics occurs and is known about there are usually Elders in the community that will take care of the problem. If you ever know of such a case you can report the incident to any Elder in the community or if the offender is part of a tradition you should seek out someone within that tradition.

*Members of a coven keep identities of others in the coven private. Unless
a whole group ok's public disclosure, this information is private.

*Personal information and things discussed within a group/coven are private
and not ever discussed outside the group without everyone's permission.

*Any oaths taken within a group are sacred for life. This means that even if you no longer work with a group you are honor bound to keep pledged oaths. Keep this in mind when asked to take an oath.

*Know that you represent many who practice the Craft. Every action you take reflects who and what you are and tells others something about you. Be a good example. Live your Craft.

*Never put down other spiritual paths. Show the kind of respect and acceptance you would like others to show yours.

*Politics have no place in the Craft, but they exist. Be wary of people who exert power over others. Power is something we develop from within and if we have power from within we have no need to hold power over anyone!

*If you are feeling negativity coming to you from others, mundane or psychic, first look to yourself. What doors have you opened? What have you done to bring them around? Check your alignments. Negative elements can have no affect on you when you are in proper alignment and are not open to them. Walk in the light!
