Rep. Greg Snowden, R-Lauderdale, has worked for two years to get us MSG car tags and he has now succeeded. The tags will be available around June and there'll be a one-time charge of $33 dollars extra for a one-time only charge..
We must sell 200 tags or the deal will fall through. We must notify the state tax commission in Jackson by sending them a list of at least 200 names of those wanting the tags plus the $33 per tag. We are working on implementing this plan now. I'll keep you posted soon as we have some details to work out.
This tag on your car will be a big boost to the MSG because a lot of people are going to be asking you, "Just what is the State Guard, anyway?" It should be responsible for doubling our numbers and that means good things for all of us. The bigger we get, the more leadership slots will be opened up and the more people we can commission for those new slots. There'll also be more slots for First Sergeants and Sergeant Majors too. Let's get behind this car tag program.
