Just as with e-mail consider tackling just one topic or issue per post and keep your posts short. Long posts more than three or four paragraphs are difficult to read and long paragraphs are equally difficult to read through.

Post your computer problem first then reply to that post with your computer information and reports.

Don't post to the message boards from your email program as this tends to make posts long and hard to read.

Stay on topic. If it's a Internet Explorer problem don't move on to your problems with your MP3 player, unless the two might be related, as this will not confuse you or those trying to help you.

Post to the correct message board:  If you are having a hardware problem don't post it on the social club board and if you would want to tell your life story it would not go under software.

It is best not to include your email address in your post or in your profile.

For Tech Questions it is best not to use those fancy script fonts. Some of them are near impossible to read. And please watch those font colors the darker the better (like Black). Also don't use graphics unless it is related to your question (like signature gifs). Its a post for help, not a work of art!"  You can always use any of the above in Social Club, welcoming a new member, wishing a happy birthday, holidays, ect.
