A Day In The Life
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band- was, according to Paul, an attempt at a rock opera. It was as we all know hugely successful, revolutionising popular music. Songs include 'With A Little Help From My Friends' (covered by Joe Cocker and used as the theme tune for the 'Wonder Years'); Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds which was banned from the BBC because they thought that it was encouraging people to take drugs (abbreviated it is LSD) although John always maintained that it was inspired by a painting by his son Julian (Julian is supposed to have pointed to the picture and said, 'Look daddy it's Lucy in the sky with diamonds'). John also penned most of 'A Day In The Life' which was also banned form the BBC because it included the line 'I'd love to turn you on' which was also assumed to be a drugs reference. The album cover has 68 people (real and wax work) on it who the band considered to be influential including Laurel and Hardy, Marilyn Monroe as well as painters and novelists.

Abbey Road- was the last Album The Beatles recorded , although it was released before Let It Be. This album has the fab four back on track sounding better than ever.Ringo gives a great drum solo on it. George has two of the best songs he wrote while he was a Beatle, well that's my opinion. John & Paul are at their best too. A must album for any new Beatle fans.

Album from the film Let It Be.
The roof top gig in the film was the last time The Beatles played live.
George's While My Guitar Weeps & John's Across The Universe are my two favourite tracks on this the last album to be released before the break up of the band.
All songs Lennon & McCartney unless otherwise stated
