It included the singles Love me do, Please Please Me (number one in three of the four recognised charts at the time) and six cover versions. The last song on the album is 'Twist and Shout', this is because John knew that after singing it he would not be able to sing again. Heavy 50's influences can be found on this album. |

A Hard Day's Night (titled after a phrase coined by Ringo after a lengthy period of filming) was the musical soundtrack of the film of the same name. The black and white film features the members of the band being themselves. This Album contains all Lennon - McCartney tracks, where as the first two Albums had a few cover versions on them.

| Help! was another album to accompany a film, although the Help! LP included songs not released on the film. This album contains the most covered song of all time Yesterday. Paul McCartney apparently woke up one morning with the tune for the song in his head. The film is hilarious (although no one would dream of making anything like it today because it would be considered racist). Many of the locations in the film were selected purely because the band had never been to the places in question. Help! |

Revolver - followed on in the same vain as Rubber Soul. Songs included Yellow Submarine with Ringo on vocals, Taxman a song of George's featuring Paul on lead guitar; I'm only sleeping, as covered by Suggs, features one of the earliest use of looped tape samples and the physcodelic 'Tomorrow Never Knows' (the title is another Ringoism) was written by John while he was filming 'How we won the war'.
