This tut will take you step by step on creating a table with a tile background image and another table ontop of it with a solid background for writing on.

These can be used in EMAIL, MESSAGE BOARDS AND CUSTOM PAGES.  This is one of the ways I create the mini stat pages or now called QUICK NOTES.

To make this easier for everyone I will be teaching you how to do this using the message board.

YOU CAN DO THIS ...  THIS SHOULD BE LOTS OF FUN.

HERE WE GO

In the TILES album Here  you will see the second tile image down is named 2g (its a green image with a lighter green yellowish X in it.  Thats the one we will be working with.

TO GET THE PATH OF THE IMAGE.
Click the Image to have it open on its own page.
RIGHT CLICK right on top of the picture tile and choose PROPERTIES
a box opens and you see the Adress: area in it.... and it starts with http.......  thats the path to this image.....  Sometimes the path is quite large and part of it is hidden.  So to make sure I get it all....  I
LEFT CLICK just to the Left of http at the beginning and hold down the LEFT side of the mouse and drag it to the bottom right.  Once it is all highlighted I
RIGHT CLICK choose COPY

If your not ready to use the path yet..... paste it on a new email compose or notepad .....someplace that you can obtain it easily again.
Just for this tutorial.....  here is the path.... compare to make sure this is what you got or saw.
The Script for the TABLE

<table width="100%" background="/_Secure/0LQD3BGEPJFMpqk3T9aXfz33hHMcPu0cKLdqWjeHpXqJ8rM5vuNZh9gXt1KBnrAZncpZqwE744dM/2g.jpg">

<tr>
<td><center><table width="450" bgcolor="#000000">

<tr>
<td><b><strong><center><font color="#ffff00" size="4">HIGHLIGHT AND TYPE YOUR TEXT HERE</font></center></strong></b></td>
</tr>
</table></center>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Note top line of script holds the path to the tile image.  I have placed a different one in this script so that you can change it to the green tile.  Just COPY this script and replace the existing path with the one of the green tile... thereafter.....just replace it with the one you wish to use.  Don't remove anything as in the " marks at the beginning and the end of the path."    "this sign "

See the next line contains the bg color of the inner table?

bgcolor="#000000"  Stay between the signs " and the " when changing the color codes.  For those of you wishing to use Color Cop go for it..... for those of you that are not familiar with this can use these images to nab a color code.

Click Here for Color Charts

use what is listed on these as RGB codes and stay inside the signs and don't delete the # sign.....  just change the six numbers.

(the creator of these charts mixed up the placement of the RGB and HEX codes in her table here ......  But these are still quite useable)

The next line contains the color code for the font...... see it?

<td><b><strong><center><font color="#ffff00" size="4">HIGHLIGHT AND TYPE YOUR TEXT HERE

choose your color for your font and the size = 4 is the size of the font.....note the script does not show the actual size of the font.

How can I change them ......

Copy the entire script.  Open OUTLOOK EXPRESS... click to compose a new email....  Paste the script on the top of the email......in the letter body area.

Now make your changes......  When done.....  Copy the entire thing and its ready to be pasted in the Message Board.

Thats it for the script.....Make your changes and copy the entire thing.  Now lets go to the Message Board and paste it.....  yes if you made your changes .... its ready for email..... its ready for the message boards.....

Click this Shortcut to paste your creation in this thread  TILES
