Jemma was put to sleep 4 years ago when we knew it was her time. I had her for 14 wonderful and turbulent years and I think she would still be here today if her leg didn't have cancer and need to be amputated. Nearly a year after the operation we could see she was getting tired and we had to do the right thing by her. I still miss her terribly but if put in the same situation with any of our new girls I would have to go down the same road. We have to give our pets all the chances we can. But at the same time we have to be thinking of them and how they feel and not be selfish with our desisions.
