We serve a truly amazing God. He works in mysterious ways. New Year's Eve 2001 was one of those times He worked in an odd way. You see I preached that night as part of a New Year's Eve service. My parents were supposed to be there but three people that were related to friends of theirs or were friends of theirs passed away and they spent much of New Year's eve in and out of funeral homes. Because of these visits they were unable to drive down to hear the message I delivered.

Well I promised my mom a copy of my notes so to fulfill that promise I began converting them to a file I could email to her. While doing that I thought well if I email it to her why not email it to the Insights newsletter group. So I started converting them to HTML to be emailed out well then I thought. Well if its in HTML why not just post it on the web as another avenue of sharing God's word along side the journal I write that doesn't usually dive deep into scripture. That would allow for milk and meat on the web site.

Hebrews 5

12
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
So you see God used 3 deaths to bring about this addition to the site. Anyway, for each message God gives me the inspiration and opportunity to share I will post my notes here. One warning my prepared notes are not always what i wind up saying - sometimes I get tongue tied and other times the Holy Spirit guides me to share a different item. If you ever hear me in person and are the type that takes notes (as opposed to the other type that writes notes), I would appreciate you sharing your notes with me from the message you heard. There has been a couple times where I've heard myself say something while preaching and thought, "Gee, that was cool. I'll have to remember that."  Then, of course, I forget it.

Well if you're able to view this page you should see a new list of pages underneath the word Messages to the left. On these are the notes I promised my mom. I hope they are a blessing to each of you as they were to me in preparing them and preaching them to myself.
