It has become nessecary to place the Chat Room Procedures in it's own page, as there is a lot of information to be covered. Please refer to this page as needed. Opening Room - *NEW POLICY * Up until 2005, only managers and assistant managers or permanent host/hostesses could open the INN chatroom. We have decided to let our members do it as well, if they want to. The only thing we ask is that you read all of the chat-related opening procedures prior to just opening the room. We really want our current members to be more involved and chat hosting is a great way to do just that. We all need to be proud of our Pagan Country Club. Chat Hosting/Opening a Room is a way to get us back into circulation again so that membership increases. However , the person(s) choosing to open the room should always behave in a manner which would be respectful, polite, informed, and of course one to encourage community growth through referral. If anyone abuses chatroom hosting, unfortunately reprimands/banning might occur.
Opening Procedure - The Chatroom should be opened using the title ~~INN at the ~*Grove*~. This is the easiest way for all of our members to bookmark our site. Additionally, the description should always read "Our Pagan Country Club". The room should be opened in the Religion section and without any music. Also, under message section, put "No preaching, bashing,or whispering w/o consent."
Greeting Members and Guests - All who host our chatroom are responsible to welcome any newcomers to chat upon entry. You may use various greetings, most common is "Merry Meet" or mm in chat, followed by the name of the person who has entered. please say "Welcome to the INN". You may also say "wb to the INN" or "welcome home member" for members of our community upon entry. This is a warm way to welcome anyone who enters our chatroom and shows unity and professionalism when running the room.
Hammer Rule - There are to only be a total of five hammers in our room at any one time. This is the golden hammer and four brown hammers. Only those on the Permanent Host/Hostess, and Temp Host/Hostess list are allowed to have hammer priviledges. If the room has five hammers, and an Assistant Manager, or Manager enters, any Permanent Host/Hostess holding a hammer should ask if their hammer should be relinquished to upper management. Managers and Assistant Managers have higher status due to the dedication and work they put in the community, and respect should be shown in this manner.
Away Status - We ask that any hosts which need to mark themselves away should limit their time to five minutes. If for some reason you shall be gone longer then five minutes, please drop your hammer. In the event that there are only one or two other hosts in our room, we will allow you to keep your hammer if you are watching room and let those in our chat know that you shall be back very shortly. Additionally, if there is only one other host in the room, you may retain your hammer and maintain your away status in the event that the other host is moofied. The room should never be left without a host. This latter instance is on rare occasion only please.
Booting or Kicking - Any Management hosting our room has the ability to kick or boot a disruptive member, nonmember or guest from our room due to inappropriate behavior. We ask that all boots be custom set for 24 hours in most circumstances. Your discretion is allowed in circumstances which you feel 24 hours is not necessary. The following are examples of past difficulties which resulted in booting.
-Foul Language (will not happen if profanity filter is turned on)
-Argumentative with Members or Hosts
-Preaching or Bashing
-Whispering without Consent
-Harrassing any Manager, Member or Guest
-Obscene Sexual Behaviors or attempts to Cyber
We recommend issuing warnings prior to kicking whenever possible, but it is the responsibility of all Hosts to ensure the security and safety of our members and guests. We will not allow anyone to be insulted, offended or abused in our room.
Banner Postings - All Managers, Assistant Managers and Hosts will be
responsible to make their own copy of the banners. These banners can be found on the banners page

Closing the Room - As it is required that only those on the Permanent Host Hostess list have hammer priviledges, if you are the last manager in the room, it is your responsibility to close it prior to leaving. We will not allow the room to be open without a host. Simply announce that the room is closing. Usually, people leave without too much complaint. If for some reason, someone refuses to leave, ban for 15 minutes and close the room. Use "Sorry, Room is Closing" as the reason if this occurs.
