Past Life Regression
Exercise
Lie down, breathe deeply several times, and travel gently into a state of relaxation. If this exercise is being read to you (which I strongly suggest), close your eyes, and relish the state of being relaxed, of listening to the pronunciation of each word. Gaining a state of blisfull relaxation from all things around you. If reading the exercise yourself, proceed slowly and cautiously allowing a peaceful state of mind to overwhelm you before taking the first step toward the celestial sanctum. Either way, travel deep within yourself, focusing solely on going further and further into an altered state of reality. You are aware of nothing except your own mind (and these words as they slip into your consciousness....) Reasons someone should read this aloud to you are obvious on the surface i.e.: so you can concentrate on the exercise, the not so obvious reasons are just the same precautions as used in "Astral Projection"; so you don't get lost. Also it is wise to have a recording device, such as a tape recorder, to make record of your journey. Finally, I find the experience much more gratifying to be experienced under the clear cloudless sky in the mountains, or beach or just Mother Nature away from city lights.
Now visualize high in the sky far beyond the clouds, a great grove, far grander and of far greater dimensions than any grove of worship that could possibly be grown here on Earth. This celestial sanctum has a colossal natural double archway placed squarely beneath huge interweaving boughs and twin spires. A massive set of rough-hewn steps lead up the hillock to this entrance of the grove...Concentrate on bringing this vast grove into being in every minute detail of it's elaborate trees and then see yourself alone, poised at the foot of the steps, looking up expectantly at the archway. . . Start climbing the steps;notice the rough-hewn sail as your feet touch one step after another. . . It's a long climb, but at last you reach the top, and stand beneath the immensity of interweaving boughs of the largest, oldest oaks you can imagine. Breathe deeply, pause, and then stretch out a hand to feel the texture of the trees, rubbing your hand lightly over the bark, feeling the limbs and the intertwined leaves. . . Now step through and under the archway slowly allowing your eyes to perceive the wonderous sight of the inner grove . . .
Stand there and look around you; observe the high branches, leaves intertwined, the natural areas where the light filters through the massive tree boughs; noticing the giant alter stone; ready fully prepared for ceremony . . . Shafts of light fall diagonally across the alter, the air smells sweetly of incense, and you are overwhelmed by the solemnity, the stillness, and the magnificence of the scene. But rather than proceed down the center of the grove toward the altar, you turn instead to your left and walk toward the far side of the grove. It's a long way away. As you advance, you are aware that the earth beneath your feet have given way to the polished stones and the trees are so massive that their trunks are all very close to being one. Now look along these massive trunks for another archway, a small archway. It is not easy to see; you must look carefully. But at last you observe a small entrance, and proceed to it. When you arrive, walk through it . . .
As you walk through this archway, you see a stone stairway. The steps are narrow and very well worn, and they lead down into the hillock. Move down these steps; feel yourself descending deeper and eeper into the very foundations of the grove. At the foot of the steps stands a man, a very old man. His hair is white, shoulder length and he is wearing a hooded long black gown that reaches almost to this ankles. He is the guardian of the records and he is expecting you, however he wants to know why you are here. Explain your quest for self-exploration and ask to see the record of your last interlife. The old man bowing his head, listens attentively to your explanation and grants your request. . . (It should be noted some guardians will judge you for your sincerity and honesty, only to proceed if you are judged to have both in your quest. . .)
Next the guardian beckons you to follow him into the library. You seem to float behind the flapping tails of this gown as he sets off through the seemingly endless corridor, past shelf after shelf piled high with books. At last he comes to a halt between parallel lines of stacked volumes. He stands there for a few moments before pointing to a particular shelf of books. You follow the line of his arm, and your gaze alights upon your own name inscribed on the shelf in gold, embossed lettering. Read this name and verify that it is indeed the name by which you are known. Then survey the books that are on your shelf. . .
There are many, many books on this shelf of yours: one for each of your past lives and one for each of your interlives. Observe the succession of leather spines placed in chronological order from left to right. As this life is not yet over and it's record is not yet been completed, the book located on the extreme right-handed side is that which contains full detail of your most recent between life experience. (It should be noted interlife experiences should be viewed before past lives to help you in a state of mind to offer no shocks to you subconscience) Ask the guardian for this record and watch him steadily as he reaches up, retrieves the book, and hands it to you. Hold the volume firmly, feeling the texture of its soft leather cover, and know that in a few moments you will open its pages to observe the contents of your last discarnate existence. You may choose to look at any aspect of the interlife. . . the threshold, the judgement board, planning the next life. . . anything you wish. When you open the book, you will do so with no fear. What is contained therein has already happened; it presents no surprises to your subconscious. You are merely looking at the record.
Now open the book and examine whatever section of the interlife you have chosen to explore. Absorb the record calmly, passively, without emotion. You have all the time you wish. . .
When you have seen all there is to see, close the book and hand it back to the guardian who is waiting patiently some distance away. He places the book on its shelf and then motions for you to follow him once more through the labyrinthine library to the stairway leading back to the grove. You hasten after the old man until you are brought to the place where you first met. There you bid him farewell for the time being and ascend the stairs, proceeding through the small archway into the silence and majesty of the grove. You step through the archway and pause for a while under the scultptured oak leaves, before returning to the vestibule and the enormous archway. Now you step outside the inner grove and the celestial sanctum and slowly descend the earth hewn steps. And as you move consciousness is slowly returning so that by the time you reach the foot of the hillock you are once more fully aware of your surroundings. . . . . .
OK, after thoughts about this exercise. Some people find they become aware of their interlife memories upon following the guided visualization for the first time. But most people need to repeat the exercise several times before recall is coaxed into consciousness. Those who are most persistent-or who are "natural" visualizers- will find their effors are rewarded with a stream of images. Often, insights will appear later in dreams or will register as intuitive flashes that intrude upon everyday waking state. Keep a log of all things. . . .
First and foremost, whether you are attempting past life regression on your own or with the help of someone else. You must understand that either the person helping you; or yourself is placing you in a hypnotic trance or state... And like "Astral Projection" you can get lost; by being so wrapped up in the past life so intuned to it; you forget this one. This can also lead to severe personality disorders. Having someone with you whom either you trust to bring you back or is a professional is always safest. Second is the fact of what causes the most problems in past life regrressions. FEAR...pure and simple fear all. And for all of you sci-fi fans out there the movie DUNE had one very important lesson. Fear is the mind killer! If our fear overrides our common sense we kill all aspects of trying to understand our fear or to even look beyond it.
Finally, family, friends and members of The ~~INN~~ at the ~*Grove*~. Please use this exercise as it is intended. Do not fear the results or the actions of the exercise. Of course like "Astral Projection" take precautions. However, use this tool like all your other tools with dignity and a healthy respect. Please enjoy this exercise and lesson.
