Druidry
Druidry is the ancient religion of the Celts.  Modern day wicca is is primarily based on it.  I will only briefly explain some of its pracices now.
In the druid calender there are 8 major festivals, 4 lunar and 4 solar creating a balance of femmine and masculine energies.
There are 3 stages of becoming a druid.
1. Bard
2. O-veat
3. Druid
Druids were the leaders.  There were the most magickal of mackick.  They could talk to gods and goddesses, shapeshift and become invisable.  They also had much knowledge and it took years and decades of training to become one.  Most of these abilities were said to of happened in the astral realm which sits in this realm just beyond the pyshical.
O-veats were magickal and the helped the druids.  They were just begining to learn the beyond basics of magick.
Bards were the story tellers and poets of celtic society.  They taught and learned magickal lessons through the telling of a story or poem.  They were well respected.  They were taught the basics of magick.
In Druidry it is not only believed that things had a magickal essense but also stories and poems and dances and music.  By the telling of a story or reading of a poem certain magickal energies were created - that is why everyone listened when a bard told u a story or poem - and who knows maybe this was the begining of incantations.
One last thing i will say is that druids believed spirits of the dead were sources of knowledge not dread and by contacting them on the three nights of what is now known as halloween who could learn much magick for your years of journey.
They also believed in dragons.  Many celts through dancing, playing music or lots of other means would find there magickal guardian dragons.  But i will say no one is assigned a dragon to gaurd them you must gain the trust of a dragon and give it lots of magickal energy.
