STYLE of DANCE The kids call it POP Dance, so we do too! POP dancing is a combination of Jazz, Aerobic and Hip Hop & Beginner partner dancing. They learn different rhythms and steps and practice 3 routines for their performance. "Pop" as we know, comes from the word popular and is the type of music we will dance to. The are dancing a signature routine created just for them and enjoy dancing to some of their favorite songs. The music chosen is to be age appropriate and exciting for the kids as they get to know the routine and the words to the songs. We also want to make parents will enjoy the performance too!
BENEFITS: Benefits of learning this style of dance is learning how to move as an individual, with partners and as a team and gain a sense of grace, coordination and social confidence. This style of dance is developed to enhance the dance experience by incorporating individual and partnered dancing.
We allow the kids to experience their own movements vs. being very strict on technique. The focus of the classes is for the kids to have fun and allow them to advance on their physical coordination while enriching their group socialization skills. The performance is for fun and set in a relaxed atmosphere. This allows for a positive experience to show off the routines to family and friends.
If you are interested and the class session has already started, please call for enrollment. Experience shows the kids are quite quick to learn routines and we teach the kids manners in helping the new kids to get started. 3 routines are taught and repeated during the course of the program in preparation for a non-competitive performance.
