 | gilda pontbriand has studied visual arts in Canada, Mexico and France. She has won fourteen national and international awards for her work in oil, acrylics, mixed media and photography. In 2005 gilda won the first prize in the competition ‘‘Imagine Don Quixote” and she was awarded a trip to Spain. In 2004 she was nominated for the Latin American Achievement Awards in Visual Arts. Her profile appeared in “Canada World View’’, a publication dedicated to the Summit of the Americas, held in Quebec City in 2001, and later distributed in 34 countries. She has had 97 solo and group shows in Canada, Japan, Korea, Mexico and the United States. Her paintings are found in many private, public and corporate collections in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Malaysia, France, El Salvador, Israel, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Guatemala and the U.S.A.
