Turn Back Thyme
Items needed:
pot of growing thyme
silver foil
2 pieces of paper and pen
sweet scented oils
candles of your choice
black marker

Choose a time frame
of 15 minutes
for seven consecutive days,
when you can be undisturbed.

Day one:
take a pot of thyme and
wrap the pot in silver foil,
which symbolizes mind power.
Relax, and breathe
deeply for a few moments.
Make a list of things you
need to do for yourself only.
Place the list under the pot,
and leave it for the next day.

Day two:
Take a relaxing bath
with soothing sweet-scented oils
by candlelight, and think about
your list.
Then add anything you might
have forgotten to the list
(for yourself only!),
inspect and water the thyme,
talking to it kindly
to nurture its growth.

Day three:
on a second piece of paper,
list the things that waste
your time.
(I'm guessing that this
goes under the pot?)

Day four:
select a relaxing task,
form your first list, and do it,
stating:
"This is my time, and be sure that
I'm going to use it how I will.
No other can my time slot fill."

Day five:
talk to your thyme again,
pouring out complaints & delights.

Day six:
try something new that you've
always wanted to try.

Day seven:
take the list
of time wasting items,
cross each out firmly
with a black marker.
Recognize that you can
take back your life.
