The Alexei Project is currently on hold, pending contact with the originator of it, Kat. When we get the green light on this again, it will be announced here. Thank you for your patience, and I will extend apologies on behalf of the group if you have sent something to be included in the project and expected it to be sent to Alexei long before this. We will attempt to sort this out when we are again in contact with Kat.

Shortly after Alexei won Gold in February '02, the Original Management of YIH proposed a project inviting group members to submit personal gifts or letters to Alexei. These were to be gathered and sent on to him as "The Alexei Project", a measure of the membership's appreciation (and possibly affection - lol). The deadline for submissions was stated to be July 1, 2002.
According to the log on this site, a fair number of submissions were received. Members were asked to help contribute postage if they were able. That was also collected.
Two and a half years past the deadline for submissions, there has been no word on the status of the Alexei Project. Inquiries have been made of the current management as to the fate of this endeavor. We would appreciate being able to tell those who entrusted their items to the Original Management of this site what might have become of them, and of the status of the Alexei Project.
