We would like to take this time to express our expectations to our Members so that we can function in a comfortable and dignified manner with respect to each other. Typically in a Membership rules are implemented, but we do not feel it is necessary as each member is accepted on Hers or His Own Merit and it would be disrespectful not to allow our Members their right to exercise their own self Definition of Character.
Because everyone shares a unique Compassion and interest in Animals, There will at times, be diversity in a variety of subjects. Since the varying subjects can be in some cases very sensitive, it will be helpful if our Members are mindful of others opinions. Out of respect to each other, it is in this instance we encourage our members to reposition their temptation and avoid a conflicting debate. Most emphatically we would hope that encouragement would be the fundamental theme among Members. We would like our Members to feel as though this is their site and that each Member matters as much as the next.
We would like to keep the General Message Board as a place to introduce a thought or comment or make an expression or an inquiry. We have Community Boards for Brevard, Central and National/Global. We would like to use those boards for matters that relate to their respective communities.
Membership at this site in all likelihood will be comprised of a variety of people with different interest in animals. Among our membership will be many types of Dedicated Animal Organizations from Rescuer's to Transport Coordinators and Animal Rights Activists. All of which are highly skilled and motivated by their relentless concern for Animal Welfare. It is our greatest desire to be able to share their knowledge and fortitude to better educate the public.
We would expect that Members that do not fall in the above category would exercise constraint and patience when communicating with the above mentioned Members, as their endeavors for the most part is very time consuming and often exhausting.
We would like to encourage our Members to facilitate this site to the fullest. There are Event Calendars that Members are welcome to post on. Topics other then Animal Concerns are most welcome also.
We are open to suggestions from members on anything that would improve this site.
At times
will take a stand or position on an issue that comes before us. If we feel it is necessary we will post our view on this web site. We do not expect our members to participate in our views nor share our opinion. However we will welcome any support that a member so chooses to offer. Thanking all of you very much,
Laura and Victoria, Founders
Animals come in all sizes shapes and appearances, they did not ask to look the way they look. The Creator made them that way.
They did not ask to become Pets to humans or Trophy's to be hunted. The smaller ones, because they looked cute, furry or colorful were naturally attractive to Humans as useful pets. The larger animals too unmanageable for Humans to handle sufficed as Trophy's to brag about. Because Humans took it upon themselves to domesticate the smaller ones as two legged feathered or four legged furry into a companion or pet. It became incumbent upon the humans to treat these Animals with the same respect as they would expect themselves to be treated.
As the Creator made the Animals also were the Humans made
All that is good can be found on this Earth,
we must want it to find it.
