Big Valley, nestled between high mountain peaks in the southern Cascade mountain range,in the notheast corner of California. It is one of the more picturesque and unspoiled areas remaining in California. Big Valley is situated 100 miles north east of Redding on HWY 299e, 100 miles south of Klamath Falls, Oregon, on HWY 139 and 150 miles north west of Reno, Nevada,via HWY 395 to Susanville,then HWY 139 past Eagle Lake to Big Valley.

Big Valley has four distinct seasons and a mild climate. Elevations range from 4,200 feet in the Valley to nearly 7,000 feet on surrounding peaks. Summer temperatures range from 34*in the morning to the mid 90*s in the afternoon. Evenings cool off comfortably. Winters are not usually severe with Temperatures averaging-10* to 25* in the early mornings and 30* to 50* during the day. The average rainfall is 14 inches, average snowfall is 16 inches.Big Valley is surrounded by national forest.
