So i walk out side. I Breathe deeply as i leave the building. I make myself take stock of my surroundings, noticing the weather, (not the people). Is the sun shining?

Is the wind blowing? Are the birds singing?

I usually sit at our wonderful old orange painted picnic table facing the street.

I allow myself a few minutes to be aware of nature around me, focusing on the nature happening, not the material world i just walked out away from .

Breathng slowly, i close my eyes, drawing inward.

In my mind i know i am safe , so i do not worry. Drawing inward is a wonderful shielding technique as well.

It allows you to blend into the surrounding area.

Few will notice you, even sitting at a orange picnic table with your eyes closed, lol.

I promise.

I have always used the technique of seeking a beat or a pulse to focus on.

Whether that is my breathing, or a heart beat, or even the Universal pulse and flow of the area.

It is a quiet under tone, you must go inward to hear.

By slowing your breathing, and literally shutting out the out side world, you can achieve a calming state of awareness.

Do not allow your mind to dwell on the aggravation you just left!!!!

Allow your mind to float freely, from thought to thought. Do not linger on only one. Do not let your mind focus on the negative!

Remove your self from all that!

Even tell yourself, for ten minutes, i will have peace.

Yes , it's waiting back there for me......... But for now, i am beyond it!

Allow your mind the chance to float freely, become aware of what you do feel . Do you feel a breeze on your face, as you life it skyward?

Can you hear the birds singing?

Ignore the human normal voices, and screen them down, seek the higher sounds.

Can you feel the sun's warmth on your skin in spots? What spots? Your left arm, your thigh? The side of your face?

What do you smell? What things float to you as you sit quietly, just breathing?

With your eyes closed, you have a different sense of awareness.

Once you can move beyond the strangeness of it, you will enjoy it!

By closing your eyes, you are creating a different, solitary space for your mind to move into.

Most people never do this except to sleep !

Try this method, your body and mind will thank you.

You will come out of this exercise feeling much better, and less stressed.

Continue to breathe deeply for a couple more minutes. It helps clear the mind and lungs. It calms us down, centers us, and grounds us in our own realm, not man's.

Which is how i like it.

I like to be apart from man's world to fully function in mine, lol!

That sounds odd and snotty i admit.

But look at man's world.

To fully function as the Universe requires, we are part but apart of the world.

We must move thru it.

We must balance ourselves, even if it is only for ten minutes at a time!

Many blessings of the One,

Blue
