A Dragon's Challenge
The hardest and biggest lesson for a Dragon to recognize is this.
We must put aside our wants our needs for the needs of the others. For the greater good, do we live. To help others, our personal needs fall by the way side. We must cast aside our wants for the greater need. Our purpose for the One is to be messangers of universal truths. To help others, to guard information, to pass it on to those seeking it. As we help others along our way, we help ourselves to evolve. And we must all evolve. We must all move forward.
A Dragon's purpose is many fold and not personal. We must be many things for many peoples. So we must project certain things to others for their comfort, their peace. This is a problem at times due to the fact that Dragons are so intense, in their ways and desires. We are greedy it is true. We want things for ourselves. We seek peace comfort, love, a mate. All things others seek and find. But alot of this is with held. Some times i feel this is to strengthen our resolve, to test our spirit and devotion.
The life of a Dragon is never easy or complacent. It is a challenge to be met daily. The rush of emotions, the intensity of the connections has its rewards but the pit falls follow. Our lives are not our own, in the sense that we are here for man. Our time our effort, our jobs is to help others, in what ways we have available. Be it healing, energy work, listening and counseling. Dragons are problem solvers, but have problems due to it.
Irony is a strong thing. We love all, yet need and seek true and abiding love. We give freely but need acceptance and comfort.
We help freely but find no help for ourselves, we are left to sort our problems the best we can. It is a learning process, not all together pleasant. We can feel adrift, seeking answers we feel are just out of reach. How is it possible to help others and flounder ourselves?
The key to this is not pleasant but necessary to realize. We must sacrifice our needs for the needs of others.
Our lives, our goals are man centered, not self centered. We must release our wants and desires for the greater good. Yes at times, altruism sucks. I know that sounds bad but as a dragon, one who knows greed and need. It sucks to be told you must not live for yourself, but for others. Many a Dragon has sat and wondered, what about me? Where is my happiness, my companion? My solace? We find balance eventually, usually in the company of other dragons, for who to know the beast best, but another? The life of a Dragon is not cool, or hip. This is not a light hearted thing, a fantasy thing. It seems a lot of people want to claim to be Dragon because it is cool. It is not. This is a real intense soul experience, that signifies the soul's advanced stage of development. And even though the soul is developed, we are not done. We stil have degrees to go, hence the intensifed testing of us. We are constantly tested. I will not lie. The life of a Dragon can be very overwhelming at times. The peaks the valleys vary. Life is an adventure of such intensity such passion it bears ands wears on the spirit at times. Dragons survive, we evolve, adapt, over come all obstacles thru perservence, stubbornness, hell, even ego. We must by all means survive to pass on the knowledge the passion the universal truths for mankind. This is a dragon's purpose. Grand or fool hearty, time will tell, but we evolve and grow, holding dear all we cherish, all we are allowed, thankful for the blessings, and yes angry at the curses.
We are Dragons, we have purpose, we seek joy and comfort, we find friendship, we find truth. Ever forward.
