The ritual space you choose should be set up as follows:
Altar should be located centrally and decorated appropriately. (Can consist of as little as a small table with which to hold a glass and a bowl or as elaborate as a godess/god image and holding all ritual necessities)
Quarter candles in following colors Green for North, Yellow for East, Red for South, Blue for West or if no colors are choosen then white is appropriate.
Bowl of Salt and Glass of water should be located centrally.
The format of an effective ritual:
1.) Construction of the ritual space
2.) Raising the energy.
3.) The interlude
4.) Teaching and meditation
5.) Thanks and dismissing of entities who attended.
Basic ritual :
Calling of the quarters: facing each direction one by one speak the following :
Spirits of the (direction) see this person bright
Come from the rising mon and sun to be with me/us
As you will, so let it /mote it be.
(Repeat facing all four corners and light the appropriate candle if you choose)
Sky above , home of our father the sun, protect us and watch me/us and watch me/us as we/I work.
Mother earth below, protect me/us and watch me/us as I/we work.
If circle is to be cast then one should sprinkle salt mixed with water about area and repeat:
By the power of the ( insert deity/patron) I/we seal this circle.

Dismissing the deity/patron: Facing the direction in which you stopped speak the following
