Healing is the natural work of Wicca. It goes hand in hand with helping. It is a selfless act that most wiccans do not even charge for or if they do charge it isnt very much at all. Payment does not have to be in monetary values. Perhaps you need your laundry washed or maybe even your garden plowed. It is not considered immoral or unethical to charge for your work. Only would it be wrong to charge an amount that no one can pay or is unreasonble. for example some of todays Reiki practioners and i do mean "some, not all, charge up to $500 dollars per session. While Reiki and all that is can do is wonderful for the healing community it is hardly appropriate to ask that of anyone. Even western doctors charge less for an office visit.
For a wiccan to heal there is something that he/she must do above all else, he/she must maintain their own health. There are several things one should keep in mind with reguards to this.
1. Weight. With current fashions revealing more and more we are very aware of how unattractive an obese body actually can be. Wiccans ususally keep their weight down by monthly fasts. However not all people fast, even if they are wiccan. It is of the utmost importance that we maintain a healthy body weight. This also includes being underweight as well. Starving onesself to fit into that lovely tuxedo from 10 years ago at the prom isnt quite as important now is it?Lol.
2. Sugars are the one thing that seems to be affecting our society as a whole especially in the U.S.A. From a very early age our children are taught that sweets are a rewardi.e., honey if you are very good while mommy/daddy shops we will go get ice cream later. Overconsumption of sugar throws the body into a state of overstimulation and causes irritability along with placing an emense strain on the body to breakdown that sugar and get rid of it asap. This takes away from other systems in the process........................giving us less immunity to colds and bacteria and virii. Try substituting honey instead of regular table sugar. It is less sweet tasting but pound for pound it contains the amount of sugar the bodys needs. It is also made up of two different sugars that are absorbed at differetn rates making the sugar level in ones body more consistant and resulting in less sugar cravings.
3. Alkaline and acid. Recent health studies show that an mere shift in the ph of ones body can have a significant effect on the bacteria we are exposed to. It can kill of an overgrowth of the bacteria that naturally live in ones intestinal tract or genital area. Some bacteria simply can not survive in a acid envirnoment including diptheria, influenza, pneumonia and staph. You can find out whether you are acid or alkaline with a few cents worth of litmus paper that can be purchased at most major drug stores. Moisten a blue litmus paper in your early morning urine,( when it is at its most concentrated from sittin in the bladder, if its turns light red your ph balance is correct. If it remains blue you are probably alkaline and you should take action to restore your body to its acid state. It is simple to do this by ingesting acid drinks such as orange juice or cranberry juice. If this is not enough then you may try this method: add 2 teaspoons of honey and 2 of natural vinegar to a glass of water and drink. By natural vinegar i mean a wine, apple cider of malt vinegar.
4. Fresh air. Fresh air is good for you but cold air can be harmful. Having your house ice-cold in the summer isnt such a good idea. It causes your body to go into a state of semi-hibernation and slows down your immune system so that invading harmful bacteria may take hold well before your body send out anti-bodies to combat them.
5. Smoking- Need I say more?
6. Vitamins. Most of us do not get the amount of vitamins necessary for daily consumption. It is important to eat fruits and vegtables and include them in your daily diet. But if you can not tolerate the taste at least supplement your diet with a good multivitamin. Just remember a normal well-balanced diet need no supplements and youll be healthier in the long run.
8. Exercise. Do something every day. Even if it is for only 5 m inutes. Walk the dog, play catch with the kids. It doesnt have to be major run a marathon type exercise to be beneficial. Even washing the dishes it exercise for men and women alike.)In general you should shoot for 30 minutes 3 times a week but anything to keep your heart working efficiently is better than nothing at all. If you want a reason not to exercise Ill give you one. Stay home and drink coffe and smoke cigarettes youll die quicker.
Psychic Healing
These are the healers who use their own energies to fix a person whos own energies are out of alignment. There is a very good course on the web site called Reiki. This is one example of psychic healing.
Psychic chromotherapy
This is healing by color. For example when/if you can see a persons aura it resembles a rainbow in its many colors. Missing colors are ususally a cause of dis-ease and must be replaced again with the appropriate color to make the rainbow complete and thus the person.
Stone/Crystal Healing.
Like the native american indians who used natural stones in their medicine bags people who heal by this method use stones of certain varieties placed on integral body points to induce healing.
Herbs.
The most common way of healing is to ingest the appropriate herb or apply to ones body. This is the oringins of our common western medicine today.

Ritual for self -healing
Supplies :
Favored perfume/cologne/annointing oil
Candle of white
Cup of water.
Annoint yourself all over with your favorite scent . Light the candle. Take a small sip from the cup and repeat loudly....." I am whole!" Clap out the flame of the candle.
For the next seven days bathe with salted water( you may pour a bowl of salted water over yourself in the bath or shower) When you are done bathing cover in ones favorite scent oil.
