What will this course do for you?
This course contains information that will make the world you live in much easier to understand. It contains information on magical beliefs systems, and offers insight into the wonder of the world that is ours to share.It describes magical talents that work to effect the future. It uses a combination of magic talents combined with a moral ethic code that will guide you in an understanding of what magic is and when and where to use is safely.
The place of the Wicca 101 course is this:
1. Show you new ways and paths of life.
2. Access levels of inner consciousness and comprehension.
3.Help develop the talents you already naturally possess.
4.Show you basic ritual formats you can use and elaborate on or simplify in everyday life.
5.Introduce you to others of like minds with which to share and learn.
6.Teach you the background of an ethic code in which you may use the skills you learn.
The only thing that I will ask of you is to read all lessons through very carefully and in order. This is something that is new to you but has been part of my life for many years. I know everyone wants to get to the magic upfront but it is my responsibility to teach you to do these things properly and I take it very seriously. Follow this plan for a short time and learn its ways and when you are done with all 12 lessons then feel free to switch adapt and change. It is your freedom. But allow me the pleasure of teaching you the proper way to open the door for you to use it responsibly.

The supreme being:
Most of us are familiar with the concept of "there is something out there" For the moment we shall call that something the "It" No matter how far you search back in history there is in every culture a creation concept. As humans we feel a need to define the divine. People call this "It" by many names, hinting around that humans dont really have a grasp on what exactly this "It" can be. Because the "It" is so vast and so complex we can not simply wrap our minds around the concept of the "It". But once the "It" created things evolution took over and left us here. So we are believers in both creation and evolution. Both principles are needed to explain the world we know.
Because the "It" is so far beyond our simpleness it has the ability to operate on levels that we can not. "It" is the source where energy comes from but can not make our exsistence here on this plain any easier.This belief in the "It" can be defined as open monotheism or belief in an unknown supreme being. Because is in unknowable there are no reasons for conflict with another religion. This is the exact opposite of other religions such as christianity or judeo islamic religions who serve a closed being.
Us:
There is a seperation between us and the "It". As humans we already recognize that something or someone owns our bodies.There is also a distinction by us of how we describe our bodies as well. We often use terms like my arm or my leg...............but we also say things like "I want" or "I need" For the sake of these lessons we shall classify the "I" as the soul or the spirit, the higher consciousness and the "me" the vessel that the uses "I" to get around. These two sides of a human will constantly battle. The "I" is the higher conscious and the religious side. It is the moral and ethical side. You will see this when you read things like "I can not steal it is wrong.The "I" is always striving for perfection of reality. But the I also carries memories from past lives. It does not age. This comes to light when the "me" gets older and wants to do things like climb trees when the "I" remembers how fun it is and the "me" is 95 years old. The most important part of the body is the "I".
Connection between the "It" the body and the Gods and Goddess'
Your "I" contains memories of everthing it has ever done in this life and in any other. This makes is a record of all that you are and ever were, and all you must be before you can escape your destiny.
We also have little bits of the "It" within us as well. The "it" within us is show reverance with phrases such as blessed be.
Here is how this works to combine the worship of the divine "It" with the "It" contained in the body. Your spiritual side will always strive toward aa moral ethical life. But your human side or your "Me" side will always lean toward the survival of me. When the two lock in battle they both connect with the "It" inside the body and the "It" in the cosmos to achieve enlightenment. Here is an example of how this works......... The "Me" gets sick. "me" is wrought with pneumonia. "I" wants to help so "I" says "I want to be well" Then the "It" takes over. the "It" reminds the "I" to either seek a physicians care or to go to the store and get over the counter medicine. The "I" says in essence: "Will someone take "me" to the store so "I" can get some medicine and get better.
In this same way we can connect with the god/goddess or our chosing or one who choses us. Since the "It" is contained in us both when we reach out toward our patron deities the "It" within us and the deity makes a connection. Humans say things like "It-God-Godess....... please help" Then the "It" within can connect with the "It" from them and help can be rendered.
5 basic beliefs:
1. Law of attraction:
Whatever you put out you get back. Ever notice when you meet a perfect stranger while walkin down the street you smile and he.she will smile back. Simple enough...............positive energy attracts postivie.............negative attracts negative.
2. Harmony and Serenity
Maintain Harmony and you will achieve Serenity. Harmony with the earth will get you "serene" settings like the beach or the wilderness where you can connect with mother earth. Harmony with the Cosmos will let you achieve inner serenity. Remember the phrase"peace of mind."
3. Power through Knowledge.
Everyone has talents and abilities. The only need to be developed. The power you can use to help yourself and other comes from 2 sources:
Rasied power:This is obtained through the concentrations of as many persons as possible using their "It" to connect with the "it" in the cosmos.
Called down power: Letting the "It" from the God/Godess fill and overflow your vessel or your"me"
4. The Rede ( pronounced the Read)
This is our basic guide to life, our "golden rule" , our ethical code.
Stated as thus, "Eight words the Wiccan rede fulfill; and it harm none do what you will" It means basically that you may do as you wish but do not harm in any way physically, mentally, emotionaly, and living thing including yourself.
5. Progressive reincarnation.
self explanatory but if you need help here is a little phrase that explains it.
"I died as a mineral and became a plant;
I died as a plant and rose to an animal;
I died as animal , and I was a man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying."
As above so below:
We are a microcosm in the macrocosm or we are the little within the big. We are a reflection of our world. We have veins and arteries the world has river and oceans. What we are is a reflection of the cosmos if but a smaller version.
A discussion of the words Wicca/witch.
In the craft you will find many people use the terms interchangeably. This can sometimes lead to confusion for those new to the craft. It is mostly a term of respect. Some people choose to call themselves Wiccan because the wrod witch has such negative connatation in the society we live in. the word Wicca is taken from the gaelic and has been translated to mean "wise" It is usually paired with people who consider themselves to have a Celtic/Gaelic heritage or follow that tradition when it comes to their patron deities. However this is not always so. Just please remember not all witches are Wiccan but all Wiccans are witches. Just like not all christians are baptist,catholic, but all baptist,church of god,nazerene etc.... are christian.
