RIDE EXPERIENCE
Hollowed 'logs' await the passengers at the platform. The riders hop in and embark down a shallow channel of water which quietly roams through what used to be Pioneer Village backcountry. Soon, riders cross Farmington Creek and start the climb to the top. Riders watch in suspense as their fate comes into view and they speed down the drop and splashdown at the bottom.
RIDE HISTORY & INFO
Lagoon's Log Flume was moved from Pixieland in Otis, Oregon. According to PdxHistory.com, a historical website about parks in Oregon, Lagoon bought the ride in 1974. The website also features pictures of the Log Flume in Pixieland. This ride was great in its day. But because of long lines and the newer water rides like Cliffhanger and Rattlesnake Rapids, it seems to have lost its luster. But it still has the charm of a classic Log Flume ride (as much charm as a log flume can have). The Log Flume features a thrilling 30-foot plummet which Rattlesnake Rapids can't offer. In 2002, the queue area was renovated. A new platform was built along with a roof, and the line was extended with more switchbacks.
