RIDE EXPERIENCE
There are two different rides on The Rocket. BLAST OFF shoots you up to the top and then you bounce a few times before you reach the bottom. RE-ENTRY carries you up to the top slowly (in about 20-25 seconds) and lets you enjoy the view. But before you get too comfortable you're suddenly pulled down faster than if you were free-falling. This ride gives you a great rush and no trip to Lagoon would be complete without riding it.

RIDE HISTORY & INFO
You might have noticed that only two of the three towers are used. Lagoon has had plans to add what's called a Double Shot on the third tower. At the time, no Double Shot anywhere had gone higher than 100 feet. The Rocket would have broken a record if they would have added the 185 foot Double Shot earlier. But now it looks like someone else has beaten them to it and some sources say Lagoon and S&S may never work together again.
The company who makes this ride has its headquarters in Logan, not far north from Lagoon. They also make most of the vertical rides like The Rocket all over the world.
