The Freddie Prinze Story

By Maria Pruetzel and John A. Barbour.
This fascinating and exciting reading reveals the untold story only those intimately close to Freddie could tell. A rare find. Some copies available on Ebay.

I cannot read this reccomendation and leave without adding one of my own. I love this book and have read it four times since getting it in April of 2001, second only too the Bible in the number of times I have read it!
It is a very touching and sentimental, yet also truthful book written out of a Mother's love for her son. Wheather you are a Freddie Prinze Sr fan, or Jr fan or a parent who loves their child(ren) you will love this book.
The book obviously has sadness in it but it is a book of love, respect, truth, and honesty sure to be a favorite.
Thank you Kriz for this reccomendation!

The Expanded Quotable Einstein

By Alice Calaprice.
I have a crush on everything Einstein too! This is a great book. Here quoting Physics world:
"This fascinating book, which includes 550 of his quotes in a single volume, reveals Einstein
as a fully rounded human,..." Wow! My favorite quote: "If there is no price to be paid,it is also not of value".6-20-1927

Affirmations for the Inner Child

By
Rokelle Lerner
.
'For many of us raised in dysfunctional families, our childhood is a time when we learned that life isn't the wonderful journey it's made out to be. Negative messages received from our parents form attitudes that affect the rest of our lives. The negative lessons learned as a child often manifest themselves in self-defeating actions as an adult.

This book presents a method of reparenting your inner child to experience life anew. Affirmations for the Inner Child is for those adults who are ready to heal their childhood wounds and move from a live of pain into the path of recovery. '

I have this book for over a decade now and its incredible. First it's written in a 'quote a day format', making it very simple to read. I'll be sharing a message a day from this book.Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

The Freddie Prinze Story

By
by Maria Pruetzel and John A. Barbour
.
I've read a lot of books in my life, but I'm proud and glad to say that I started off 2004 by reading this very special book for the first time.  I consider it one of the best books I've ever read.

Through his loving mother's descriptions, Freddie in his youth virtually jumps off the page and comes to life as a vibrant, ambitious, spirited, and totally worthwhile young man.  Knowing the tragic end of this story, the reader is primed to look for danger signs, and they come right on schedule.  By this point, however, we've grown to love Freddie and root so much for him that we hope the ending will somehow be rewritten.  Sadly, it isn't possible, and we must watch the tragedy unfold anew.

I learned a great deal from this book.  Most importantly, I'm strengthened in my long-held belief that -- despite his depression and talk of suicide -- Freddie didn't mean to end his life that fateful night.

Freddie's fans share the grief over his loss, but Maria's strong religious faith makes this an ultimately life-affirming story.  We are encouraged to remember that his spirit lives in the hearts and minds of all those who loved him, especially the fans who never knew him in life.

It took me over a quarter-century to gather the strength to read Maria's book, but I'm sure I'll read it again in the not-too-distant future.  I treasure it and hold it close to my heart -- just as I do Freddie.

Looking Good L.P.

By Javanyet1. We all know what made Freddie Prinze funny, but I hear again what made him different on this album. He knew the difference between making fun of something and finding the genuine humor in it, be it ethnic, everyday, or whatever. It's easy to look back and say hey that is great, but in this politically correct age the fact is that FP's stuff would probably be rejected. The shame is in the fact that he did know the difference, and today most people do not. Recommended by MSN NicknameJavanyet1, 6/27/2004.
