PHOTO ALBUMS
All members' hamster pictures (other than BHA Standards, Art, Habitats, Coloring Pages, Holidays, Members Pix, or Memorials) may only be displayed in a geographical (state/province/country) album. If one does not exist for your area, please contact a manager to create a new one (with a state/province/country name) in which you may upload your photos. No individual may create a picture album but may post in any album. Please try to limit your quantity of pictures in the geographical album of your choice to 12. You may exchange your allotment of photos at any time for new ones.
People pictured in the HG Meet-ups photo album must give permission for their pictures to be posted. Posting pictures of individuals without permission is considered invasion of privacy and will not be tolerated. Please indicate with a line of text that the photos posted have complied with this issue.
PICTURES
HG does not allow the posting of pictures of pups with closed eyes (usually indicating an age younger than 2 weeks) on surfaces other than hamster bedding. To ensure the safety of young pups, any picture which demonstrates extremely early handling of pups (by their presence on other surfaces, in hands, etc.) will be deleted.
HG does not allow the posting of pictures of hamsters in unsafe situations. These photos may be deleted without notice. What may appear safe to an owner, may be misunderstood by other members. Please screen your pistures well before posting any which may be questionable.
POEMS AND/OR STORIES
Any member may post up to five stories and/or poems to HG by submitting them to
janelandis@earthlink.net. Should that member decide to post a new story or poem after the limit has been reached, he or she may simply indicate which story or poem should be deleted in order to make room to post the new one. This policy does not apply to cinquains.
PRICES, SALES, DONATIONS
No prices for hamsters or hamster-related products may be posted on Hamsters Galore. Sales are prohibited from being conducted on any MSN group because they are a violation of the MSN code of conduct. If you wish to do business with another member, please do so away from this group. Any sales prices found on a Hamsters Galore forum will be immediately deleted. No monetary donations of any kind may be solicited through HG.
SCREEN NAMES
Screen names may not be obscene or offensive in nature. Those people having such screen names will be eliminated from HG membership.
All screen names MUST begin with a letter (A through Z only; no other alphabet for the first letter). They can contain no more than 40 characters. They can contain numbers but *cannot* contain any of the following symbols:
! @ # $ % * ( ) + = » ” ; : . , < > ? & /
Any names found containing those characters will be deleted as members. If you find your membership deleted for that reason, simply join again using a name without those characters.
HG can not allow libelous posts about individuals or groups, including corporations or other entities. Names of people, stores or other entities may be deleted from such posts, or entire posts may be removed.
