| Healing Hong Kong Hearts | Song: Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) Artist: 2MB Anime: Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie Created: January 18th, 2003 Files: Real Media: 5.5 MB; MPEG: 28 MB | | | This video is fast. Very fast. Maybe even too fast. For the longest time I wanted to make a music video telling the story of the first Cardcaptor Sakura movie (as well as a video not focusing on Sakura and Syaoran) but I couldn't find a song that told the story lyrically or even came close. Then I started looking elsewhere for instrumental/non-lyrical songs when I came across the Dance Dance Revolution song Healing Vision. I like the original mix, but I like the Angelic Mix much better since it's faster paced... It originally was going to be just about Cherry from Saber Marionette J, but then I didn't feel the song matched her personality. I felt it was more fitting to Lime from SMJ also, but then I knew I wouldn't have nearly enough footage so it was going to be about all three Sabers, but that isn't original. My next idea was going to be a "Girls Kick Ass" style video, but again, not original. Then it occured to me, Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop, Lime from Saber Marionette J, Lina Inverse from Slayers, Tira Misu from Sorcerer Hunters, and Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion were all voiced by the same seiyuu (voice actress), Megumi Hayashibara. My idea had finally reached something original. All of the characters' personalities match this song perfectly, with the exception of Rei, but I found one or two scenes where I could put her in, so don't expect to see her too often. You really need to pay attention to the lyrics during the song to get all the jokes. This is my first serious attempt at lip syncing which I tried to do as often as I could throughout the video. If you haven't seen it, you may not want to watch this music video, as it contains scenes from the entire movie, most likely revealing the majority of the plot. This video is mainly a character profile of Tetsuo and who he really is, hence the song "How You Remind Me". I put a lot of time and effort into this music video, probably a good 30 hours or so timing stuff to beats as well as trying to tell the video like a story. The source is DVD, so it should be excellent capture quality. Like the previous video, there is a so-so quality RealMedia file and a excellent quality mpeg, which I recommend. Also, Akira is a very violent and bloody movie, so I tried to capture as much of that as possible, so be warned for content :) Read what I wrote about this music video on animemusicvideos.org! | | For The Love of Li | Song: Beautiful Goodbye Artist: Amanda Marshall Anime: Cardcaptor Sakura: The Sealed Card (Second movie) Created: August 12th, 2001 Files: Real Media: 17MB; MPEG: 45 MB | | | My first attempt at an emotional music video. The second CCS movie made was the last thing for the television series (to date) and focuses mainly on the relationship between Li and Sakura. The song, by a Canadian artist, is the song I listen to when I'm depressed and is very fitting for the entire music video. After about three and a half minutes, the song picks up, and I fits the final fight scenes for the movie. This music video was especially hard, because a lot of the scenes I wanted to use had the subtitles from the fansub. I had some help, because it was widescreen, I could edit them out without any problems, except taking 50 individual still frames for almost two seconds of footage. I edited subtitles on at least 4 different occasions. This is a new personal favorite for me and I put a lot of hard effort into it. I hope you like it! Warning: If you have not seen this movie (which most of you probably have not), it contains several IMPORTANT spoilers for the entire movie and the series. Vegeta is one of my favorite characters, because he's all violence, which is always fun in anime. Featured in this music video are Vegeta's best fighting moments, along with some of his not so great moments, including his death at the hands of Furiza. Personally, I really don't enjoy this video. I only posted it because this is supposed to be a DBZ based site. I love the relationship between Usagi and Seiya in the Sailor Stars season, so I made a music video dedicated to them entitled "Destiny Apart". I used a hell of a lot of clips in this video, at least 70 and then some of them more than two or three times. I'm really proud the way this music video turned out, and I tried to limit the subtitles, but some scene's were too good to not use, so deal with it. In my opinion, this is my best music video and will remake it one day to make it better and in MPEG format! Read what I wrote about this music video on |
